Nuova Simonelli Espresso Machines

Cuppy's Coffee uses and recommends Nuova Simonelli espresso machines.

The first professional machine for espresso coffee was conceived, designed and built by engineer Orlando Simonelli in his workshop in Tolentino is the Simonelli 1936. This machine was stylistically in harmony with the tastes of the period but was already technically innovative and ahead of its times.

While other companies still used a lever system to deliver coffee, Simonelli was the first to use a pump which ensured continuous delivery after a properly tamped "porta-filter of cafee"; A revolutionary system in its time and still in use today with the best machines for espresso and cappuccino (capuccino), like the super-automatic and Nuova Cafeteria.

The philosophy of building technically innovative espresso machines, placing great emphasis on design and materials, which inspired Simonelli when building his first machine, has remained the company mission over its long history. Now Nuova Simonelli's machines are rated among the finest worldwide, in the company of names like Rancilio, Gaggia, Pasquini, and Espressione.

In 1969, The company changed its name to Nuova Simonelli. In the same period, the new Head Offices in Belforte del Chienti were inaugurated, marking the transformation of the old craftsman workshops into an industrial structure capable of taking up the new challenges of the times without losing touch with the past.

In 1993, Nuova Simonelli opened a facility in the United States and established it's US division. Recently they upgraded to a brand new 15,000 square foot facility, a testimony to its success and its good commercial relationships with the American market.
